The Battle for Europe: Are Germany and France geopolitical rivals now?

Why are we bringing these details of old secret documents? [...] Firstly, we are aware that in the moment in which  was built a new world order[...] that Europe has been from the point of view of security a kind of condominium of both USA and USSR. What defines that international status has been the presence of the troops of both superpowers of the Cold War  on the territories of the various European countries – USA using the NATO mechanism in that direction and USSR the provisions of the Warsaw Pact.[...] Secondly, that the change of  that status is possible only by understanding between those who is exercising the condominium , and that could have two directions: to maintain the geopolitical status quo but accepting some important changes – as the  two German states  unification- for avoiding some undesired developments or  change  and creating a new reality to replace the old one - as , for example, a “ common European house” , which was  the publicly assumed  target of Gorbaciov policy.

USA-CHINA ‘TARRIF WAR’: A WAR AS ANY OTHER - 2018/2019

The preliminaries of this war between – at least for the most experts in   hierarchies of power within the international system of today – the first two great powers of the world ( or better superpowers ) are at the beginning of 2018.  Since March a salvo of tweets of President Trump reminded, in a way or another,  the fact that USA is pushed to take some measures in order not to be continuously exploited by its partners of trade and to build a new balance in  that regard . Because many of these tweets are registered in the first 10 days of March , we can speculate either that President Trump has considered that time is playing against him economically  and he has to act, or that applying pressure against porimarily on China is beneficial for solving another crisis ( at the time the showdown engaged by President Trump with North Korea , a close ally and on whom Beijing is exercising a tutelage )

POST-BIARRITZ: G-7 or G-8 ?

Second part: Reactions of  the  interested experts to that eventuality have been more nuanced, going so far to reach the practicability of G-8. Some tweets written about that issue immediately after Biarritz:
“@ulrichspeck

G7/8 needs Russia because without Russia you can’t solve important problems. If that’s what Trump (and to a degree Macron) think, the case for inviting China much stronger. And if Russia, why not India? But then, why three Europeans countries plus EU on the table?

Geopolitics of Europe - the "independence" formulas

The first  phrase  about the independence of Europe has been expressed , in the framework of the Cold War , by French General Charles de Gaulle. When he said that Europe as a continent is from the Atlantic  to Urals he did not recognize a immemorial geographical reality, but a stringent  political one. When he famously said on 22 November 1959 at the University of Strasbourg : Yes, it is Europe, from the Atlantic to the Urals, it is Europe, all of Europe, which will decide the fate of the world!” he expressed shockingly and astoundingly a “  Declaration of Independence” of the Old Continent .
Firstly , De Gaulle refused to recognize that the Iron Curtain  installed after the Second World War has excluded from the geographical reality  of the continent  the half  of it submitted by Soviet Russia since 1945,  that is including Russia itself. What has been considered the West does not mean- said superbly the French General- Western Europe and USA, but USA and Europe up to Urals, namely including Soviet Russia

UKRAINE SEEN FROM BUCHAREST - A PERSONAL POINT OF VIEW

Geopolitically, it is not anything else more important  for Romania’s  foreign policy today  than what is going on in Ukraine. Some will say that it is more important to consider what is taking place on  the Western side of our territory, namely what Hungary under  Fidesz and  Victor Orban is doing; or the evolution of the European Union on the eve of the Brexit without deal already announced  and after;  others will say that Western Balkans is more important for the foreign policy of Romania due to the complexity of the security landscape;  or the evolution of Turkey on the international arena after the acquisition of S-400 from Russia and the US warnings connected with that fact which is at least an  inadequacy at the NATO level .
But in my opinion ,for us is most important security issue is  Ukraine- even, I should recognize,  it is very difficult to establish a hierarchy  in the field of security .  Here are three motives for what we are of such an opinion
